After The VowsBudget Setting
Update...
After The Vows was created several years ago when the economy was better. Today it has changed a lot. More and more brides are now looking for a DJ service at 1985 pricing and finding out too late it was a bad decision.
You can go online to YouTube and search for "disaster wedding DJ" and find way too many wedding horror stories, most because the couple went cheap.
I know you don't want to spend too much. There are DJs in this area that is, based on my knowledge, is over charging. $2000 to $3000 for just to play music and have some lighting is way too much.
But expecting to pay $150 to $400 for your disc jockey is like purchasing a wedding cake for $50 site unseen and untasted. There are a lot of DJs advertising these low prices online but that is the only way they can get their bookings, by their low rates. No talent is required.
After contacting a disc jockey for your wedding set up an appointment to meet. See if the DJ is a good match for you. And the meeting should be non-obligating. You do are NOT required to sign a contract at the meeting. If the DJ insist on the contract you have a very powerful word to say..."No." And walk away.
If you have any questions please feel free to call me, Bill Nash, directly at 972-218-7590.
