Lies Your DJ Wannabes Are Telling YouFirst, don’t get me wrong…there are professional Disc Jockeys out there who are doing their job right and honest. But today there are more tools for DJ-wannabes (DJ W2Bs) to use to misrepresent themselves.
Demos Videos-There are online sites that sell demo videos to DJ W2Bs. These videos are of great parties, people enjoying themselves and dancing. What you don’t see is the DJ in question. Why, because these videos are mass produced and shipped to DJ W2Bs worldwide to use to promote themselves.
There is also a local “franchise” DJ company with promotional videos and pictures. But not one of them is from a local event. Instead they are from a “demo party” where they get all their employees and friends together and act out the having fun parts.
DJ Video Commercials-There is a national company that is selling to DJ W2Bs short commercials, supposedly interviews with brides about their weddings. If you watch and listen you will notice not once do they speak the name of their DJ or their DJ company. Instead you see it in print on the video.
One of them is a Mom & Daughter video about mom being involved with “their” wedding. But the one thing they both agree on was how good the DJ was. But again, they never speak the company name or the DJ’s name.
These video are being used with YouTube to make it look like they are legitimate. But they are not. If you took a little time searching YouTube for one of those videos you will find several DJ W2Bs using the same video.
